My name is Adrienne and if you don’t know me, you’re about to now! I’m a PhD student and private tutor by day and a photographer…LITERALLY any chance I can get, haha. Ever since I was 16, I’ve been in love with capturing moments to cherish for a lifetime. This may be attributed to the fact that my mother has albums on albums on albums of photos from my childhood. My parents captured moments throughout our lives so that we can look back on all the bad haircuts and crazy 90s clothes (that keep coming back in style, who knew!) with nostalgia. That feeling is what I want to capture every time I take a photo. I want to freeze a moment in time and really capture not only the beauty in the moment, but the genuine emotion as well.
This brings me to when I was 16 and scavenging in the closet for some cool treasures. I ultimately found my parents’ old Minolta film camera. I remember trying to take photos but there weren’t any of those classic shutter clicks happening. My mom saw me and said we needed to get some film. And so we did. And ever since then, I’ve never put a camera down. I practiced taking the perfect shots and ending up with not-so-perfect shots when I finally got the film developed (there were MANY canisters!).
When I went to college, I finally got my first DSLR camera that I still use to this day. It has been with me through all the trials and tribulations every photographer goes through. What’s my style? What do I love capturing? What is a challenge to capture that I want to get better at? What don’t I like? These questions are still pertinent to today. But my answer has always stayed the same. I shoot what makes me feel something. I shoot what makes me stare in awe. I shoot what makes others feel a sense of pride, happiness, love. I shoot moments my clients hope to cherish for the rest of their lives.
I am committed to capturing the best moments, whether it’s the genuine laughter and happiness you have with you friends during a graduation shoot or the small intimate moments with your significant other during an engagement shoot or wedding day. Leave the stress of making sure you get all the right shots to me and just have fun! I want you to feel comfortable and have fun, even if being in front of the camera isn’t the most comfortable thing in the world for you. I strive to make any shoot fun and lighthearted. At the end of the session, you’ll have gained a friend out of me!
If this sounds like something you can get on board with, then please head on over to the contact page and let me know what moments you’d like to last forever. I’m open to any type of shoot you may need, as evidenced by my portfolio. Let’s chat!
Don’t forget to subscribe to my newsletter to keep up with all the happenings and fun things I have in store.
And last but not least, welcome to the family!
All the best,
Adrienne
